Multimedia is run through the TAS department as a 100 or 200 hour elective in Year 9 and 10 and also as a HSC subject that runs across Year 11 and 12. Students engage in a range of creative and technical pursuits ranging from film making through to animation and web design. This subject allows students to learn many technical skills and also allows them to collaborate on creative projects. 100 hour elective:

-Students learn photo editing skills using Adobe Photoshop

-Students learn stop motion animation using I Can Animate

-Students learn camera filming techniques and editing techniques using Adobe Premiere

-Students learn graphics using Adobe Illustrator

-Students learn game making using Game Maker

200 hour elective:

-Students learn advanced camera filming techniques and editing techniques using Adobe Premiere

-Students learn visual effects editing using Adobe After effects

-Students learn 3D modelling and animation using Blender

-Students learn 2D animation using Adobe Flash/animator


HSC course:

-Students learn advanced camera filming techniques and editing techniques using Premiere

-Students learn visual effects editing using Adobe After effects

-Students learn 3D modelling and animation using Blender

-Students learn 2D animation using Adobe Flash/animator

-Students learn Web design using Adobe Muse

-Students create a Major Project and Folio using skills acquired

-Students complete a 1 ½ hour examination

Access to hardware: Canon 70D, Sony Alpha6000, Panasonic handicam, Silver hero go pros, Glide Cam, Shoulder Rig, Rodvid microphone, High end graphics processing computers, Manfrotto tripod.

Access to software: Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, After effects, Animator, Muse and Indesign. 3Ds  Max 3d modelling and animation software. Blender.
